David’s decision to break his silence was one of the most significant moments of his life. Today, David’s business, Breaking the Silence, is regarded as one of the world’s leading advisors on mental health in the workplace. He has worked with leading global brands, including HSBC, McDonald’s and Google. In the UK, he has advised the likes of the NHS, the Labour Party, Sainsbury’s, the Mercedes Formula One team and the Royal Navy. David is a qualified mental health counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Practitioners (BACP) He has also been a trustee for Mind, the mental health charity. In 2024, he was once more recognised as one of the top global influencers in employee engagement by his peers.
