Double Deception is an erotic, comedic crime thriller, based in the copycat world of ‘Lookalikes’, laced with intriguing characters from the Mafia to diamond heists; from sensual sex scenes between the hero and heroine; to a London wedding with two bridegrooms. With so many twists and turns, it will have the reader dizzy with anticipation.

Never a shrinking violet, Barbara Angela Kealy, together with her sister Sandra, attended the local dance school at an early age, loving the opportunity to perform on stage whenever the teachers arranged shows for the public. Always a performer at heart, as an adult Barbara joined the Lissenden Players, an Old Time Music Hall group in north London, as a performing artiste and eventually also becoming secretary. Barbara continues to be part of the very popular Lissenden Players. Shortly after forwarding her portfolio to a prestigious agency in London, Barbara became a lookalike for the iconic actress, Joan Collins, travelling around the United Kingdom and Europe in her exciting new show business career. This has fuelled her life experiences, and certainly her first book.

Barbara is a passionate storyteller and throughout her life, people have often told her she should write a book to capture all her entertaining stories and fascinating experiences. At long last, she has now accomplished this. She lives in London and is married with a stepdaughter who is also a close friend.

“If ever a book lived up to its title, Double Deception does! … Written in a visual style, one can see it would translate into an exciting film blending real movie stars with their doubles, in a story with sex, drugs, rock and roll, crime and glamour – what’s not to like? A book to take on holiday, or enjoy reading with a whisky on winter nights with curtains drawn, finding a surprising twist on every other page, not knowing where one is being led, or what will happen next.” Stefan Lubomirski de Vaux, Distinguished Photographer
