Congratulations to David Morgan, who last night launched his second book, Music Notes from Croydon Minster.

Almost a year since he launched his first book, Minster Tales, David launched Music Notes from Croydon Minster to a packed Croydon Minster.

The event was attended by over sixty people, including family and friends, who were treated by a readings and music by musicians from Whitgift School and Martin How, organist of Croydon Minster.

Music Notes from Croydon Minster takes you back in time to meet some of the amazing personalities and characters who have been associated with the musical heritage of Croydon Minster over the centuries.

Revd Lee Taylor of Croydon Minster said of the evening: “Delighted to have had the opportunity to commend David’s new book tonight. David is passionate about choral music and values the musical traditions that have contributed to the offering of worship at Croydon Minster over the years.”

David’s book is out now. Music Notes from Croydon Minster is 106 pages long and costs £7.99. It is available to buy from Amazon, all good book shops, and the Filament bookshop.

Author David Morgan was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk but spent his years of study and teaching in South London. Recently retired after a successful 12-year headship in Croydon, David is now able to spend more time writing, researching local history and singing in the Croydon Minster choir. He leads tours of the church and the Whitgift Almshouses.
