On behalf of Filament Publishing, Literary Agent Susan Mears will be including book proposals from our author in her portfolio at the 2016 London Book Fair which is happening next month at Olympia. Susan has meetings already set up with the commissioning editors she knows from all of the top publishing houses.

In addition, she has meetings scheduled in the Overseas Rights area, when she will be meeting publishers who are looking to purchase rights to translate and republish titles in their own language and territory.

In those meetings she will find out what genres they are looking for and what gaps they have in their lists for the year ahead. Based on that, she will pitch the books to them that meet their criteria from her portfolio. Following the fair every book that met with interest are followed up with a proposal, and sample chapters.

Susan will also be travelling to the USA to meet with the top American publishing houses and will be taking her portfolio there as well.
