born in Liverpool and grew up in Worcestershire. He is a graduate from Bath University, a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Development and an alumnus of INSEAD, the European Business School.
He has worked in the plastics processing industry, the computer industry and in international communications. Outside business his interests include music, oil painting, photography, cooking, skiing and boating.
